My name is Jessica Cox. If you don't know who I am based off of my home page, please check that out. In short, I am a future Art Teacher at the University of Milwaukee in my final year. My biggest goal as a future teacher is to help students practice empathy and stay curious. I want to teach Art because it has had such a significant role in my life as a child coming from a broken home. My hope is that it can help students heal from similar situations. Thank you for reading my very first blog post and I hope you will continue to do so. :)

Hi Jessica. Some of the reading that I had for my blog post also came in at a college level, depending on which one you look at, but I agree that all sources can be made available to students with the right effort. I think its a good idea to shorten difficult texts as you say, it gives students expose to a level of reading they will hopefully experience in a few years, but makes these texts digestible for them. Maybe some will continue reading and gain even more.
Nice to meet you Jess. It looks like you might have some experience in blogging. Looks amazing and makes me want to scrap mine. I am looking forward to working with you this semester!
Hi Jessica! You're blog set up is impressive! I don't know much about art education so I'm looking forward to hearing insight you provide. Maybe I'll even be able to infuse art-based learning opportunities into my teaching!
Hey Jessica! Awesome website and blog...let me go throw mine in a fire. Motivating and noble backstory. I wish you nothing but the best and on my rough days teaching history I will envy that you are doing art with kids instead.
Hi Jess. I was able to find the space to leave a comment. I'm not sure if you added this feature or I just noticed it for the first time. Either way, thank you and welcome to the course!
